The portrait request received was to create a portrait of a collection, or ensemble if you will of women who have been members of Parliament in our Cayman Islands Government since the institution of the Legislative Assembly began 50 years prior (1972, Year of my own birth). The example image was of a cast of Miss Cayman Islands Queens through the decades that I made for Miss World Cayman’s 70th Anniversary as a tribute to the Miss World organization.

The Miss World organization celebrated its 70th year in 2022 and The Miss World Cayman Director want to commemorate the occasion with a gift from the collective of past and of course the reigning Queen, Rashana Hydes. What better way to do that than with a framed photo of the group of Caymanian Women in a Vanity Fair styled photo.

This photo was the result of a collaborative effort in concept, styling, as well as the technical lighting design and execution to pull off. I’d say it was a resounding success and I have a copy of the framed print on my wall for continued inspiration to keep on elevating my game.
